The Wolf 9500 & Hammel 950 are the ideal machines to deploy in aluminum rim shredding applications. They create the appropriately sized product for the smelters and handles the material exceptionally well. Non-ferrous metals like this fall well within the bandwidth of what the machine is capable of and can lead to production levels of about 40 tons per hour.

If this is being done off-site to the melting process there is the additional benefit of vastly reducing transportation and loading costs. Rims are bulky and relatively light. When shipped traditionally you see them strapped to pallets to be loaded with a forklift. After being shredded they can be loaded efficiently and a lot more weight can fit in truck load.
