The Recon-Q combines density separation using the AirHog with ferrous metal extraction via a drum magnet and a picking stand for ferrous output. Designed for scrap processors, it features advanced technology to maximize ferrous metal recovery. The unit efficiently removes super light and light materials such as fluff, paper, plastics, and cloth, followed by magnetic separation and quality control through the scrap drum and picking cabin for meatballs / electric motors recovery and copper removal. Key components include a density separator with cyclone, permanent magnetic scrap drum, quality control cabin, and hydraulically driven crawler tracks. Ideal for scrap recovery, SRF clean-up, waste processing, and slag recovery.

The Recon Q’s feed belt and windshifter accelerator belt feature a 4000mm (13ft 1.5in) incline length and 1500mm (60in) width, with a hopper capacity of up to 3.8m³ (134ft³). The fabric-backed flat belt is powered by a 4kW (6HP) electric geared motor and can be adjusted vertically and horizontally via electric controls. Two 7.5kW (10HP) blower fans, spanning 1500mm (60in), deliver air beneath the accelerator belt, with a manually adjustable air-knife angle. The separator drum, constructed from a 560mm (22in) diameter steel pipe and 1500mm (60in) wide, is driven by a 3kW (4HP) motor with variable speed and counter-rotation to direct heavy materials toward the heavy fraction discharge conveyor. The windshifter cyclone, made from mild steel, slows discharged air to separate superlight materials, which are discharged through a rotary valve. Powered by an 11kW (15HP) motor with variable fan speed, the cyclone is mounted on a mild steel frame supplied by Ecohog, with on-site installation by their engineers. The windshifter housing features a bolted, bevelled profile sheet steel frame and includes a dispersion chamber that allows material to settle before superlight fractions are removed by the cyclone.

The Recon Q features Conveyor 1 for fluff and light material discharge from the Windshifter, equipped with a 500mm (20in) wide EP250/2 ply belt driven by a 5kW (7HP) electric geared motor with variable speed drive. The Scrap Drum Magnet (model SRP Axial Pole) measures 1200mm (48in) in diameter and width, utilizing permanent ferrite magnets for efficient ferrous recovery. It operates with a 2.2kW (3HP) motor and includes a stainless steel shell with manganese steel wear wrap and heavy-duty wiper blades. Conveyor 2 handles non-magnetic discharge beneath the scrap drum, featuring a 1000mm (40in) wide belt powered by a 4kW (5HP) motor. The quality control cabin offers a 1200mm (48in) wide by 6400mm (21ft) long rubber-backed chevron belt, driven by a 6kW (8HP) motor, with double-sided picking, four discharge chutes, Lexan windows, internal lighting, sound insulation, emergency stop cords, and VSD control. Conveyor 3 manages residual discharge from the picking cabin with a 1000mm (40in) wide belt driven by a 4kW (5HP) motor. The crawler undercarriage includes right and left track frames with 52-link assemblies, 400mm wide triple grouser shoes, lifetime-lubricated rollers, heavy-duty sprockets, recoil and tensioner devices, integrated motion control valves, protective guarding, and a Bonfiglioli gearbox with a 2-speed hydraulic motor. Controls feature sequenced operation for the picking cabin belt, scrap drum magnet, discharge conveyors, and air separator, with dog lead remote capability. Power supply options include a Tier 4F 100KVA generator.
